The Capitol ‘armed insurrection’ narrative is crumbling - The Spectator World
"the only arms were deployed by the Capitol police, one of whom shot someone dead"
Did you know that Trump deployed secret commandos the weekend prior to J6 unknown to congress or the US Capitol Police and also pre-approved troops in advance so they could be deployed upon request whenever they were requested. Mayor Bowser only requested 340. After Bowsers small request the White House had the DoD have a "quick response team" ready on that day. Pelosi didn't want troops.
The Secret Service was aware of threats, the FBI was aware of threats, the Capitol Police were aware of threats and shared that information with the Interagency Coordination Division. Everyone at the top knew what was brewing in advance of the 6th.
Why did Trump want the troops? To protect his supporters. Why was he concerned for his supporters? Because far left activists were preparing to make trouble dressed as MAGA supporters especially around cameras. This is documented repeatedly in many ways and in many stories.

Secret military commandos were approved and deployed by Trump the weekend prior to the 6th unknown to Congress or US Capitol Police:
Exclusive: Secret Commandos with Shoot-to-Kill Authority Were at the Capitol - Newsweek
"long-standing contingency plans dealing with the most extreme possibilities: an attack on President Donald Trump or Vice President Mike Pen, a terrorist attack involving a weapon of mass destruction, and a declaration of measures to implement continuity of government, requiring protection and movement of presidential successors."
"The leadership in Justice and the FBI anticipated the worst and decided to act independently, the special operations forces lurking behind the scenes."
"All of these assets were "pre-deployed" and ready to go"
"The activation of the catastrophic response units, operating under plans already approved by President Trump, entailed an automatic green light allowing federal responders to take the initiative and spare no resources, including shoot-to-kill authority, to deal with this most extraordinary condition."
"The presence of these extraordinary forces under the control of the Attorney General—and mostly operating under contingency plans that Congress and the U.S. Capitol Police were not privy to—added an additional layer of highly armed responders. The role that the military played in this highly classified operation is still unknown, though FBI sources tell Newsweek that military operators seconded to the FBI, and those on alert as part of the National Mission Force, were present in the metropolitan area. The lingering question is: What was it that the Justice Department saw that provoked it to see January 6 as an extraordinary event, something that the other agencies evidently missed."
"Neither the contingency plans nor their resulting actions that day were public knowledge"
"Rosen's unilateral decision means the teams were not requested or known of by US Capitol Police or the Washington, DC Metro Police forces, or even members of Congress."
"focused on 'high risk' operations that day rather than 'crowd control.'"
"'pre-deployed' the weekend ahead of the riot"
"the military was also present in the DC metropolitan area on January 6, though the extent of their efforts or coordination with the DOJ teams is unknown."

In advance of J6, just like he had with the commandos, Trump approved 10,000 troops and the management of troops in a variety of ways. Because D.C. is not a state the Guard answers to the President, however, prior to J6 the President had delegated this authority to Sec. Def. Miller & Army Secretary McCarthy.
"Because D.C. is not a state, the D.C. Guard answers to the president, but he has delegated authority to command the capital’s guardsmen to Miller and Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy — two of the top officials at the Pentagon."
"On the evening of January 5"
"‘We’re going to provide any National Guard support that the District requests,’” Miller responded. “And [Trump] goes, ‘You’re going to need 10,000 people.’ No, I’m not talking bullshit. He said that. And we’re like, ‘Maybe. But you know, someone’s going to have to ask for it.’” At that point Miller remembered the president telling him, “‘You do what you need to do. You do what you need to do.’ He said, ‘You’re going to need 10,000.’ That’s what he said. Swear to God.”
“We had talked to [the president] in person the day before, on the phone the day before, and two days before that. We were given clear instructions. We had all our authorizations. We didn’t need to talk to the president."
"mayor Muriel Bowser’show the capital should be policed—and by whom.made it clear the D.C. police (MPD) would be running the show on the 6th, though 340 unarmed National Guard troops had been requested to help with traffic: “The District of Columbia is not requesting other federal law enforcement personnel and discourages any additional deployment without immediate notification to, and consultation with, MPD.”"
"“The D.C. mayor finally said, ‘Okay, I need more,’” Kash Patel would tell me. “Then the Capitol police—a federal agency and the Secret Service made the request. We can support them under Title 10, Title 32 authorities for [the] National Guard. So [they] collectively started making requests, and we did it. And then we just went to work.”
"What did Miller think of the criticism that the Pentagon had dragged its feet in sending in the cavalry? He bristled. “I know when something doesn’t smell right, and I know when we’re covering our asses.""
"Miller and Patel both insisted, in separate conversations, that they neither tried nor needed to contact the president on January 6; they had already gotten approval to deploy forces.
"As for Mike PenceMiller disputed reports that the vice president was calling the shots or was the one who sent in the Guard."

Report: Trump Did Propose 10,000 National Guard Troops on January 6th – JONATHAN TURLEY
"Ornato states that he clearly recalled the offer of 10,000 troops being made by Trump in a conversation with D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser"
"“I was there, and he was on the phone with her and wanted to make sure she had everything that she needed. Because I think it was the concern of anti and pro groups clashing is what I recall…I remember the number 10,000 coming up of, you know, the President wants to make sure that you have enough. You know, he is willing to ask for 10,000. I remember that number.”
Ornato said that Bowser said that they would not need the troops. (She ultimately asked for only 300 troops). There are also reports that then Speaker Nancy Pelosi was worried about the “optics” of military reinforcements at the Capitol.
Ornato also said that he recalled that, after Bowser refused additional National Guard members, the White House requested the Defense Department have a “quick reaction force” ready on that day. He gave details on meetings with the Defense Department and follow up from Chief of Staff Mark Meadows."

Mayor Bowser Requested and received 340 guardsmen prior to J6 which was notably less than what was requested a few months prior for a much smaller crowd.

"The Secret Service had directed Pence and his top aides to get into the waiting cars, Jacob said. He did but then got out again when he realized the vice president had not. The head of Pence’s security detail, Tim Giebles, told the vice president, “I assure you we are not going to drive out of the building without your permission.” “Tim, I know you, I trust you, but you’re not the one behind the wheel," Pence replied according to Jacob."

Are Paul Irving and Steven Stenger to blame for not requesting help from the Pentagon when called for help 12:58PM?
"Sund says during a conference call with several law enforcement officials at about 2:26 p.m., he asked the Pentagon to provide backup. Senior Army official Lt. Gen. Walter E. Piatt, director of the Army Staff, said on the call he couldn't recommend that Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy authorize deployment, Sund and others on the call told the Post. Piatt reportedly said, "I don't like the visual of the National Guard standing a police line with the Capitol in the background," the Post reported. Capitol Police Chief: Records Prove Backup Requests During Riot : NPR
"Pittman, testifying remotely . that her agency head had requested military backup about a half-dozen times in the first hour after the Capitol complex was breached on Jan. 6, the day of the insurrection. Pittman based her assessment on phone records her agency obtained for then-Chief Steven Sund showing he reached out to the Capitol's top security officials starting shortly before 1 p.m. in the first of six calls requesting the National Guard to respond. "Chief Sund spoke to both sergeants-at-arms to request National Guard support," Pittman told a House panel on Thursday in her first testimony in a public congressional hearing on the siege."

"Sund testified that he had contacted both sergeants-at-arms by 1:09 p.m. that day or by the first indications the Capitol was breached. He said he did not have clearance by 1:50 p.m. from the Capitol Police Board, which is composed of the police chief, both sergeants-at-arms and a member of the Architect of the Capitol. Sund said he finally got that approval at 2:10 p.m. but then learned the request would also need additional clearance from the Defense Department."

"“largely a failure of imagination to see threats that the Capitol could be breached as credible,” echoing the findings of the Sept. 11 commission about intelligence failures"
"the reasons for dismissing what he called a “massive” amount of intelligence “defies an easy explanation.”
"There was not a failure to obtain evidence, the report says, but the agencies “failed to fully and accurately assess the severity of the threat identified by that intelligence, and formally disseminate guidance to their law enforcement partners.”
"Even as the attack was happening...the FBI and Homeland Security downplayed the threat. As the Capitol Police struggled to clear the building, Homeland Security “was still struggling to assesls the credibility of threats against the Capitol and to report out its intelligence.”
"And at a 10 a.m. briefing as protesters gathered at Trump’s speech and near the Capitol were “wearing ballistic helmets, body armor, carrying radio equipment and military grade backpacks,” the FBI briefed that there were “no credible threats at this time.”"
"lack of sufficient warnings meant that law enforcement were not adequately prepared"
"report contains dozens of tips about violence"
"The faultfinding with the FBI and Homeland Security Department echoes the blistering criticism directed at U.S. Capitol Police in a bipartisan report issued by the Senate Homeland and Rules committees two years ago. That report found that the police intelligence unit knew about social media posts calling for violence, as well, but did not inform top leadership what they had found."

"once Chansley entered the U.S. Capitol, CCTV showed him moving around unimpeded"
"The tapes show that Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley; they helped him,"
"They acted as his tour guides."
"One officer appears to show Chansley that a door to the Senate chamber was locked by turning the handle, before leading him back to a further five officers."
"the footage suggests that he may not have been impeded or obstructed by law enforcement once inside."
(Watch) Jan. 6 footage shows cops bringing QAnon Shaman to Senate floor (nypost.com)
"At one point, the officers are seen walking Chansley past seven other police officers milling around outside the Senate chamber, who barely give him a second look."
"Then they escort him to various entrances of the chamber that appear to be locked. Eventually, they help him open a door, and he enters the chamber."
"In a statement, the Capitol Police suggest that one of the officers with Chansley was trying to “de-escalate” the situation because he was outnumbered. But that does not explain why Chansley, who was unarmed, was able to walk past seven more officers without being apprehended.“ Not one of them even tried to slow him down,” says Carlson. He “understood that the Capitol Police were his allies. … If he was in the act of committing such a grave crime, why didn’t the officers standing right next to him place him under arrest?""

"There is both direct and circumstantial evidence Ukrainian nationalists working with AntiFa were the violent parties that attacked Capitol police on January 6th"
"The direct evidence is Pravy Sektor’s Sergei Dybynyn at the front of the violent Capitol groups yelling “Faster! Faster!” in Russian. At first, the media started trying to paint Dybynyn as a Russian propagandist and provocateur. But, the fact Dybynyn received a medal from former Ukrainian president Petr Poroshenko for his work changed that story and big media dropped it. "According to a taped deposition of General Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pence “issued very explicit, very direct, unambiguous orders” to him and Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller"
"The constitutional authority to call out the military to defend the Capitol is vested in the president of the United States, not in the vice president. Why did Pence seize constitutional authority that wasn’t his?"
"Indeed, a vice president who usurped the president’s constitutional authority, and the Cabinet and military officers who followed his orders, could be committing an impeachable offense."
"As for Mike Pence Miller disputed reports that the vice president was calling the shots or was the one who sent in the Guard."

Was the Capitol raid an "inside job"? Some Democrats think so — and evidence is mounting | Salon.com
"One senior Senate aide, asked by Salon last Thursday how the invaders found the Senate parliamentarian's office — an obscure space deep in the building where electoral votes were stored, and which the mob ransacked — said that it was a "fascinating question.""
"They knew where to go. I've been told ... by some other congresspeople that their staff are saying that they saw people being allowed into the building through side doors,"
"Who opened those side doors for these protesters, or I call them these mobsters, to come into the building, not through the main entrance where magnetometers are but through side doors. Yes, somebody on the inside of those buildings were complicit in this," said the veteran Democratic leader.
"rioters ignored the office marked with his name plate, but said that the unmarked office "where I do most of my work in, they were on that floor and outside that door," indicating insider knowledge. He added that police were "not just derelict. You could say they were complicit.""

Secret commandos with the authority to 'shoot-to-kill' were at the Capitol on January 6: Report
"The Department of Justice under then-acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen and approved under then-President Donald Trump had secret commandos with shoot-to-kill authority at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, according to a Newsweek exclusive.
The secret operation under the attorney general ''mostly'' operated without the knowledge of Congress or the U.S. Capitol Police, according to the report.
The national force was ''pre-deployed'' Jan. 2-3, 2021, to the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, about 30 miles south of the Capitol, planning to defend against a terrorist attack, a weapon of mass destruction, or an attack on Trump or then-Vice President Mike Pence."

"The lingering question is: What was it that the Justice Department saw that provoked it to see January 6 as an extraordinary event, something that the other agencies evidently missed."
Did they miss it or was it "missed"?
